tunes: I Can See For Miles --- The Who

reading: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (Tolkien)

mood: reflective

I've been spending lots of time with my three favorite men! Yup! That's Johny, Eddy, and Billy. Or you may know them as J.R.R. Tolkien, Edgar Allan Poe, and William Shakespeare  God I love my boys! ^^

Well more of the Who as you can see and today the song was very appropriate. As the music blasted directly into my eardrums through the ever conveniant headphones (it gives a strangely comforting feeling as the lyrics and notes shoot straight into your skull and ricochet all through your head) I was reading an article about how religion (mainly christianity) is fading from peoples lives... Being the atheist I am I have been waiting anxiously for a long time to see the fall of the church. To me it is a leap in evolution a breaking of bondage that so many have shackled to themselves. The church is the greatest monuement to human enslavement there ever was and as I read about its impending downfall this was flowing into my brain, smashing against the walls of my skull, and pounding into mind...

I know you've deceived me, now here's a surprise
I know that you have 'cause there's magic in my eyes

I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah

If you think that I don't know about the little tricks you've played
And never see you when deliberately you put things in my way

Well, here's a poke at you
You're gonna choke on it too
You're gonna lose that smile
Beacuse all the while

I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah

You took advantage of my trust in you when I was so far away
I saw you holding lots of other guys and now you've got the nerve to say

That you still want me
Well, that's as may be
But you gotta stand trial
Because all the while

I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah

I know you've deceived me, now here's a surprise
I know that you have 'cause there's magic in my eyes

I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah

The Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal are mine to see on clear days
You thought that I would need a crystal ball to see right through the haze

Well, here's a poke at you
You're gonna choke on it too
You're gonna lose that smile
Beacuse all the while

I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles

I know you probably think I'm some pesimistic realist with an incredibly cynical outlook on life and faith in general. You're probably also thinking "Jesus this isn't the peppy, witty, ball of carefree fire I know!" ::grin:: It's me... I realize I sound horribly evil when my views on life are written down. I haven't got much  more to explain myself here except when I lay my ideas before you in every day life I make it sound so much sweeter and in nearly a joking way I get you to listen, understand, and either agree or debate me on it . I can sugar coat things much better in person.

tunes: pinball wizard - the who

reading: eddy poe! you go poe!

mood: ....strange... a full tummy and a sleepy head... guess i'm feeling hobbitish  <<and i adore that face ^^

Ah me! I'm on a Shakespeare vibe lately. Well Boyko has moved up in the volleyball ranks leaving me with no equally cynical colleague to make freakishly obscure observations with. ::sigh:: Oh woe! Such malcontent! So I entertained myself by making a game out of serving... for the amount of serves I didn't get over I had to have that amount squared as the ones I did get over. Things were going well I was 36 over 6 missed.. then I missed another... and another... and another and decided that I'd better do nine laps instead of trying to get 81 balls over the net in consecutive order. Lordy my arm would have fallen off! The technique is effective and everyone thinks I'm masacistic by using some of Lt. Feton's old tough training with the laps.

I actually had free time today but by the time I decided to use it it was gone. I did get to read some of Eddy Poe! Woohoo I knew I didn't buy his complete works for nothing. I guess I'll have to get started on Atlas Shrugged soon if I ever want to finish it for my Junior Theme. So much for working on my realism today. At this rate The Art Institute of California won't even look at my portfolio.
